Nearly two years into a three-year project to "Eradicate Oral Cancer in Eastern Kentucky," the University of Kentucky's College of Dentistry (UKCD) continues its work to raise public awareness of the symptoms of oral cancer and help connect patients who need additional care to cancer specialists in Lexington.
Dr. Zindell Richardson has been named chair of the Department of Oral Health Science at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. As a new faculty member, Dr. Richardson hopes to continue the college's mission of leadership in education, patient care, discovery and community engagement. "I am honored to be a part of this team, and I intend to help stretch the success this great institution has already attained," Richardson said.
