Residencies

General Practice Residency (GPR)

The General Practice Residency (GRP) program is designed to extend a dentist's capability to perform all phases of general dentistry in either private practice or hospital settings.

Pediatric Dentistry

The Pediatric Dentistry program offers dentists interested in building on their foundational knowledge and experience in treating the dental needs of child patients, including children with special healthcare needs.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery offers an accredited six-year integrated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/MD residency program designed to offer residents extensive training in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Master of Science Programs

Orofacial Pain

Candidates who are interested in the Master of Science Orofacial Pain Program will complete the admissions requirement for the two-year certificate program. Once accepted in this program, the candidate can become eligible to extend into the Master of Science Degree Program. The Master’s Program typically adds an additional year (total 3-year program). 

Orthodontics

The Orthodontics program offers a robust experience in comprehensive orthodontics, with an emphasis on goal-oriented diagnosis and treatment of different malocclusions. The division also offers a one-year Craniofacial Biology Professional Certificate option. 

Periodontology

The Periodontology program produces graduates with advanced specialty training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease, especially for patients who are medically compromised. The program is a full-time course of study consisting of clinical, research, and didactic components. 

Certificate Programs

Endodontics

The endodontics program will produce graduates with specialty training in the areas of non-surgical and surgical management of endodontic disease. The certificate program is a full-time 24-month program consisting of didactic, clinical, teaching, and research components. There are three (3) graduate student openings per year. The goal of the program is to prepare graduates for careers in either endodontic academics or private specialty practice.

Orofacial Pain Certificate Program

The Orofacial Pain Certificate Program is a two-year program specifically designed for dentists who wish to gain a broad-based experience in the field of orofacial pain. The program includes didactic, clinical, and research components.
