The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry Division of Periodontology invites dental professionals to Lexington for a special continuing education program featuring Joseph Kan, DDS, MS, on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026.

In “Immediate Implant and Provisionalization: Lessons Learned Over 29 Years,” Kan will share insights developed through nearly three decades of experience with immediate implant therapy. The course will explore strategies for achieving predictable esthetic outcomes while addressing some of the clinical challenges associated with implant treatment.

Participants will learn about prognostic factors for predictable esthetic immediate implant treatment, bone and soft tissue grafting concepts, management of implant mucosal recession and papilla loss, surgical and prosthetic complications, and interdisciplinary case management.

The course will be held at Mane on Main, 201 E. Main Street #1500, Lexington, KY 40507. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the continuing education course from 8-11:15 a.m. A luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The program is part of the University of Kentucky Division of Periodontology 60th Anniversary Continuing Education Program.

Course Topics

Registration and Fees

The faculty and resident registration rate is $150, and the private practice and alumni rate is $300. Breakfast and lunch are included with registration. Registration closes Sept. 28, 2026.
