Join us for the UK College of Dentistry’s Annual Fall Symposium & Alumni Weekend, Friday, October 17 - Saturday, October 18, 2025. Don’t miss a fun weekend of reminiscing with fellow alumni, former and current faculty, staff, students, and friends. 

All College of Dentistry alumni are welcome, especially the Reunion Classes of 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020. 

Hotel Information 

UKCD has a block of rooms at a group rate of $209/night for Oct 16-October 19 at the Hilton Lexington/Downtown, located at 369 W. Vine Street, Lexington.  Make hotel reservations ONLINE or by calling 859-231-9000 or toll free 1-877-539-1648 (and ask for the UK Dentistry block).  HOTEL BLOCK IS CLOSED.

Football Ticket Information

UKCD has a block of lower-level mobile* tickets in Section 11 available for purchase on a first come, first served basis through our registration below.  Tickets are $160 each and will be issued to you digitally.  Please make sure you use the email address you want your tickets sent to when registering. TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT.

Program Description and Learning Objectives

Program Description:

Digital technologies have rapidly transformed the way dentistry is taught and practiced. This course will explore how innovations such as intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM systems, 3D printing, and digital planning software are reshaping the dental curriculum. Participants will learn how these tools are integrated into pre-clinical and clinical education, the challenges and opportunities they present, and strategies for incorporating digital workflows into teaching and patient care.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand how digital dentistry is reshaping pre-clinical and clinical dental education.
  2. Recognize key digital tools (scanning, CAD/CAM, 3D printing) now integrated into the curriculum.
  3. Apply strategies to incorporate digital workflows into teaching and clinical practice.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Rodrigo Fuentealba

Dr. Rodrigo Fuentealba
Assistant Dean for Digital Dentistry
UK College of Dentistry

Rodrigo Fuentealba, DDS is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Prosthodontics at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where he also currently serves as Assistant Dean for Digital Dentistry. His responsibilities include pre-clinical and clinical instruction of second-, third-, and fourth-year dental students. He serves as Course Director for the third-year Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics and Treatment Planning course, as well as for Digital Dentistry.

Dr. Fuentealba has been recognized with several honors, including the 2015 Colgate-Palmolive Hispanic Dental Association National Outstanding Faculty Award, the 2017 Junior Faculty Teaching Award from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, and the 2018 Great Teacher Award from the University of Kentucky Alumni Association.

He maintains active membership in the International Team for Implantology (ITI), the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA), and the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP).

UK College of Dentistry Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel or modify a course when circumstances warrant, including insufficient enrollment. Dates, faculty or course content will be changed only when unavoidable. If a course has been cancelled, participants will be notified and a refund will be issued. Continuing Dental Education cannot be responsible for non-refundable airfare or other expenses in the event of a course
