Advising & Clinic Observation

We encourage interested students to come and meet with us to learn more about UKCD and our holistic DMD admissions process. We find it very helpful to have conversations early in the decision making process so we can get to know one another, and also assist you in preparing your application.

Certain times of the year are busier than others. Once our DMD application cycle begins, we only meet with current applicants if and when they are scheduled for an interview. Current applicants may email or call for status updates only.

Please review dates for various offerings below and check back often for new dates should these not work with your schedule. If you have any questions, please contact our Office of Admissions at 859-323-6071.

Spring Admissions Workshop

Each year, a Spring Admissions Workshop is held for prospective students to explore the UK College of Dentistry and learn about our DMD program. This year, due to concerns of COVID-19, the event will be held virtually. At this event, you will learn about admissions to the college’s DMD program, virtually tour the college, and meet a number of faculty, staff, and current student dentists. Click here to register for the March 5 or April 23, 2022 session.

Dental School Tours

The best way to explore and feel the atmosphere of UK's dental school is to come see it for yourself. Tours are limited to one prospective student and a guest, and must be scheduled in advance. Due to the current pandemic, students and their guest will also be asked to abide by university and CDC recommended guidelines, including social distancing and wearing a mask for the duration of the tour. Tours typically last 45 minutes. To schedule a tour, please contact

Saturday Morning Clinic Observation

Student dentists at the UK College of Dentistry offer free clinical checkups for Lexington area children. Due to the current pandemic, student observers will not be allowed for the fall SMC dates. Please check back for updates regarding observation opportunities.
