Research Advisory Committee

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry (UKCD) that supports state-of-the-art, evidence-based patient care and advances UKCD research toward national and international recognition.

The RAC meets on the second Monday of each month for one hour. All members of the college—students, faculty, and staff—are welcome to attend. Meetings are designed to encourage engagement and open, collaborative discussion.

Examples of ways the RAC supports the College of Dentistry’s research environment include:

• Developing internal grant review processes to assist investigators in pursuing external funding
• Establishing mentoring opportunities for early-career and junior investigators
• Providing recommendations to the Dean regarding funding for resident and DMD research-related travel and research projects
• Assisting with and advising on the promotion of research activities across the college
• Overseeing Research Track programs and small internal research grants
• Supporting the development of future research-related programs within the college
