Lecture and participation courses are presented by our faculty as well as visiting nationally known lecturers and clinicians. Our mission is to provide professional growth opportunities and quality lifelong learning educational opportunities for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental auxiliaries, as the needs and requirements of the dental profession demand in order to enhance their knowledge and clinical skills thereby providing exemplary care to patients. Continuing Education Courses for Dental Professionals:
- Management of Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office, in January and September.
- Dental Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Adults and Children, annually.
- Update in Enteral (Oral) and Parenteral (IV) Moderate Sedation, twice per year.
- Dentistry and KASPER: Management of Pain in the Dental Office, annually.
- TMD, Orofacial Pain, and Dental Sleep Medicine Mini Residency, annually.
- Dental Implant Symposium, annually.
- John Mink Legacy Conference, annually.
- Orofacial Pain Symposium, annually.
Continuing Education Courses for Hygienists:
- Local Anesthesia & Nitrous Oxide Analgesia for the Dental Hygienist, annually.
- Laser Debridement for Dental Hygienists, annually.
Dental Assistant Training Courses:
- Coronal Polishing, multiple times per year.
- Restorative Expanded Functions for Dental Auxiliaries, annually.
- Registered Dental Assistant Sedation Course to Place IV Lines, annually.
- Safe and Effective Use of Radiation in Dental Practice, twice per year.
Registration Information
- Advance registration is required for all courses and participants are requested to register and pay online with a credit card.
- The participant will receive a confirmation and payment receipt via email. If a confirmation email is not received, contact the UKCD Office of Continuing Education at 859-323-8187.
- Maximum and minimum enrollments apply. Early registration is recommended, especially for hands-on courses.
- All registration fees include tuition and course materials.
- Continental breakfast and lunch may be offered for some meetings. Check the course listing for details.
- Course handbooks/study packets (when applicable) will be e-mailed to the registrant in the confirmation email.
