The UK College of Dentistry is pleased to provide a variety of outstanding courses to assist dental professionals in updating their knowledge and skills with the latest scientific and practical information. Our courses are suitable for all dental team members, from dentists and hygienists looking for credits to renew their licenses, to Kentucky Dental Board required training courses for Dental Assistants.

Core Courses & Registration Information

We offer the following courses every year. Once a date(s) has been confirmed, the course's registration page will be included in the calendar listing available by clicking here. Click a link below for more details on regular courses and registration information. 

Registration Information

  • Advance registration is required for all courses and participants are requested to register and pay online with a credit card.
  • The participant will receive a confirmation and payment receipt via email. If a confirmation email is not received, contact the UKCD Office of Continuing Education at 859-323-8187.
  • Maximum and minimum enrollments apply. Early registration is recommended, especially for hands-on courses. 
  • All registration fees include tuition and course materials.
  • Continental breakfast and lunch may be offered for some meetings. Check the course listing for details.
  • Course handbooks/study packets (when applicable) will be emailed to the registrant in the confirmation email.

Dental Professional Courses

  • Management of Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office, in January and September.
  • Dental Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Adults and Children, annually.
  • Update in Enteral (Oral) and Parenteral (IV) Moderate Sedation, twice per year.
  • Dentistry and KASPER: Management of Pain in the Dental Office, annually.
  • TMD, Orofacial Pain, and Dental Sleep Medicine Mini Residency, annually.
  • Dental Implant Symposium, annually.
  • John Mink Legacy Conference, annually.
  • Orofacial Pain Symposium, annually.

  • Local Anesthesia & Nitrous Oxide Analgesia for the Dental Hygienist, annually.
  • Laser Debridement for Dental Hygienists, annually.

  • Restorative Expanded Functions for Dental Auxiliaries, annually.
  • Registered Dental Assistant Sedation Course to Place IV Lines, annually.
