UK Dentistry provides consultation and comprehensive care for all levels of oral/dental needs for infants, children, and adolescents. Service is available for the compromised or normal healthy patient.

Specialties: Complex dental conditions in children. Conscious sedation and general anesthesia. Dental care for young patients with severe medical problems or severe mental problems. Nasoalveolar molding (NAM) prior to cleft surgery

Special Events

Saturday Morning Clinic (SMC) is held on select dates throughout the year from 9 am to 12 pm. Treatment is provided by UK College of Dentistry DMD dental students under the supervision of faculty dentists. Patients ages 4-12 years old are accepted at SMC.

SMC sessions are held in the Dental Science Building on UK's campus, located at 770 Rose Street. See directions to Dental Science Building here.

La Clínica del Sábado por la Mañana (Saturday Morning Clinic) se lleva a cabo en ciertas fechas durante el año escolar; de las 9am a las 12pm. El tratamiento lo realizan los estudiantes de la facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Kentucky DMD bajo la supervisión de los profesores dentistas. Se aceptan a pacientes de 4-12 años de edad en la clínica SMC.

Las sesiones de SMC se llevan acabo en el edificio Dental Science Building en el campus universitario de UK, que se encuentra en la sig. dirección: 770 Rose Street. Vea como llegar al edificio Dental Science Building aquí.

Give Kids A Smile: 

During Give Kids A Smile, patients ages 1-18 years old are offered dental examinations, cleanings, radiographs, sealants, fluoride varnish, and kindergarten screenings. After the examination, parents will be informed of their child’s dental needs and then referred to a “dental home” if they do not already have one for comprehensive care.

Our dental clinics are contracted with several dental insurance plans, including Medicaid. However, patients may be responsible for charges depending on our contract status and coverage benefits.
