Continuing your post-doctoral education

Students enrolled in post-graduate programs in Periodontology, Orthodontics and Orofacial Pain receive both a Master of Science degree from the University of Kentucky Graduate School and a certificate.

The goal of the Master of Science degree program is to produce graduates who are clinically adept, well-grounded in research and the biological basis of dentistry, and prepared to function at a high level in clinical practice and academic dentistry. The program is interdisciplinary, drawing faculty from the College of Dentistry and departments throughout the University of Kentucky.

The UK College of Dentistry programs are accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.

• Check sheet for Master’s Non-Thesis Students (Plan B) - Unless specifically changed by your research advisor or program chair, you are under Plan B – NON-Thesis option.
• Apply for the Master’s degree. Click on: Student Services / myRecords / Graduate Degree Application. Due 30 days after the beginning of the semester (15 days for 2^nd summer session). Please click here for specific deadlines.
• Schedule an exam. The exam should be scheduled at least two weeks before the actual desired exam date.
