At the S3 Meetings, presentations are given by the various dental subspecialties, and following each presentation, experts in the audience—including general and specialty dentists—discuss the unique cases and challenges that present at the UK College of Dentistry.  The goal of these rounds is to assist those in attendance in staying at the forefront of dental treatments and technology in use at the UK College of Dentistry.
  • This S3 Meeting will be presented in a hybrid format. 
  • 1 CE credit will be provided to all who complete their course evaluation.

Learning Objectives

1. Discuss how cannabis use is an emerging risk factor for destructive periodontal disease.

2. Explain how cannabis and phytocannabinoids may negatively influence oral microbial homeostasis and the immune response to dental plaque.



Accreditation Statement

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. Our current term of recognition is May 2020 through December 2023.  ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. As there is no cost for attending, no refunds are available. Dates, faculty, or course content will be changed only when unavoidable. If a course has been cancelled, participants will be notified.
