Dr. Jeffrey P Okeson (UKCD '72) recently received an honorary membership in the Peruvian Academy of Somatology. His induction was highlighted in a special evening meeting of the Academy in Lima, Peru on September 10, 2015.

The Peruvian Academy of Somatology is the oldest and most prestigious dental organization in Peru. The Academy extended this honor to Okeson for his significant worldwide contributions to dentistry through lectures and textbooks. This honor has not been extended to an international member for almost 30 years.
