Ebersole Receives University Research Professor Award
University of Kentucky College of Dentistry Associate Dean for Research Jeff Ebersole, Ph.D., was honored with the University Research Professor Award for his demonstrated excellence in research.
Ebersole has had continuous NIH funding for more than 35 years for his research on periodontal diseases and the relationship of innate immunity to adaptive immune responses. He has published more than 285 peer-reviewed articles and authored chapters in 24 books on oral microbiology and immunology and registered 5 patents. In 2012 he was president of the American Association for Dental Research, and is currently a standing member of the Oral, Dental and Craniofacial Study Section under the NIH Center for Scientific Review.
