Purpose of the UNITY Committee

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry holds diversity as a core value and strives to create a climate that is appreciating, respecting, and celebrating of those differences among students, faculty, and staff. The purpose of the UNITY Committee is to bring together all members of the College of Dentistry who are committed to embracing diversity and promoting and attending diversity and inclusivity initiatives. 
The UNITY Committee seeks to: 
  • Recognize the various facets of a diverse society, including race, religion, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic level, mental and physical differences, age, and sexual orientation.
  • Cultivate a culture that is inclusive, supportive, and respectful of all individuals both inside and beyond the walls of the college.
  • Organize diverse programming, awareness and inclusion for the UKCD community.

UKCD Diversity and Inclusion Officer

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Clem Stambaugh, works collaboratively with the Provost, Vice President of Institutional Diversity and the leadership of their college to achieve the vision and strategic objectives of Diversity and Inclusivity within their respective college and the greater University of Kentucky community. Contact Clem with any questions.
