Dr. Marcia Rojas-Ramirez is an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at the University of Kentucky. She was born and raised in Costa Rica where she received her dental degree from the University of Costa Rica in 2011. She practiced in her hometown as a general dentist before completing a Master’s Degree in Orofacial Pain at the University of Kentucky. Since 2019, she has been working full-time at the College of Dentistry at the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels. Additionally, she practices at the Orofacial Pain Clinic, where she works in the diagnosis and management of conditions such as temporomandibular disorders, neuropathic pains, and headaches. Dr. Rojas-Ramirez also contributes to research (see Research Interests). She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and belongs to multiple professional organizations. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, cooking, and gardening.
